IRA Gifts for People over Age 70 1/2
Congress has authorized 2008-09 IRA gifts by people over age 701/2, up to $100,000.
Eligible IRA donors may:
· Reduce taxable income
· Cut taxes on Social Security benefits
· Erase future tax burdens on IRAs
· Reduce other tax penalties
· Satisfy minimum IRA distribution requirements
· Assist A.R.T. programs
